SolHaus is a light-filled, consciously designed residence that balances modern minimalism with ecological intelligence. Designed for a family of four, the 1250 sq ft layout is divided into two distinct zones—public and private—anchored by a skylit central foyer with a rooftop garden. Every element supports intentional living, natural comfort, and a lighter footprint.
Layout & Flow
Public Wing: An open-concept kitchen and living area with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and skylights create a spacious, sun-drenched communal space.
Private Wing: Two bedrooms, including a primary with ensuite, offer quiet retreat. Ample built-in storage maximizes space and ease.
Central Foyer: Acting as the heart of the home, the entryway connects both wings, with integrated storage and a rooftop planter that cools and softens the structure.
Sustainable Construction
SolHaus is designed for prefabricated modular construction—minimizing waste, reducing build time, and ensuring quality.
Material Strategy
Hempcrete walls and hemp insulation: Breathable, fire-resistant, and carbon-sequestering
Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT): Renewable, durable, and structurally expressive
Triple-glazed windows: Maximized daylight with superior insulation
Low-VOC finishes: Non-toxic paints and natural interior materials
Reclaimed wood flooring: Timeless, textured, and sustainable
Solar-Ready & Off-Grid Adaptable
With a roof optimized for photovoltaics, passive solar design, rainwater harvesting, and natural cross-ventilation, SolHaus is well-suited for net-zero or off-grid lifestyles.
SolHaus is a refined expression of modern family life—where light, material, and intention meet to support a regenerative way of living.
