Linear is a modern, narrow-footprint ADU designed to maximize flow, light, and livability in a compact 860 sq ft form. With clean lines, high ceilings, and sustainable materials, this two-bedroom, two-bath home offers an elegant solution for infill living, guest accommodation, or multigenerational space.
Layout & Features
Long, Light-Filled Layout
The elongated plan features an open kitchen, dining, and living area that runs the full length of the home—anchored by skylights and full-height glass doors that connect to a private patio.
Efficient Private Zones
A primary suite with ensuite bathroom and a well-separated guest room with adjacent bath make this small space highly functional for short or long stays.
Entry Foyer
A smartly placed entry provides both privacy and storage, acting as a quiet threshold between the street and interior life.
Sustainable Construction
Linear is designed for prefabricated or panelized wood-frame construction, ideal for efficient, low-impact building.
Material Strategy:
Hempcrete or hemp batt insulation for thermal and acoustic performance
FSC-certified framing or Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) for strength and low embodied carbon
Triple-glazed windows and skylights to reduce heat loss and maximize natural light
Reclaimed or polished concrete flooring for thermal mass and durability
Low-VOC paints and non-toxic finishes throughout for a healthier indoor environment
Solar-ready roof orientation for future energy independence
